This week, I presented the Bosco poster at the Great Plains Network annual meeting. It received a very good reception. Many people where interested in what Bosco could do for them. Most of the audience was HPC center admins or directors, therefore they where looking at how they can use Bosco to help their users utilize their campus clusters.

The weather has been terrible, but the meeting has been great.
Interesting the excitement among HPC centers, in addition to the HTC already. No wonder they like Bosco. Reading the Condo of Condos document, bootstrapping advanced cyberinfrastructure (ACI) users is not easy. They recommend "building a coordinated network of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Research and Education Facilitators (ACI-REFs), campus champions whose mission is to leverage existing resources and “make a difference” in supporting their local campus researchers, while also unifying member institutions under common objectives."
ReplyDeleteThese may or may not work as intended. Surely ACI-REFs will need one or two Bosco implementations customized to their needs.
